Chapter of the Year! ~ and ~ The Best of the Best!

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) presented the HSMAI South Florida Chapter with the award for "2008 Chapter of the Year" at the 2009 Annual HSMAI Leadership Conference. The chapter also won four "Chapter Best of the Best" awards for Communications, Membership, Partnership, and best use of the web. In addition to the “Best of the Best” Awards, HSMAI South Florida was awarded a Platinum Chapter Assessment Report (CAR). Chapters had to excel in all performance areas to receive a platinum ranking. NACE South Florida Chapter ~ Honored by NACE National for achievement in membership

The National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) has announced the results of its Spring 2008 Membership Campaign. The South Florida Chapter added 15 new members, giving it the best results of any NACE chapter having up to 100 members. This achievement reflects the success of the year-round programs produced by the chapter board under the leadership of President David Wilson, CPCE, Director of Event Planning at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort lauderdale. The Spring Membership Campaign was led by Membership Chair Bonnie Fimiano, owner of Café Ala Carte and Chocolate Fountains of South Florida.
